
Pennsylvania, USA — The “DISKA Open Karate Championship 2025” is set to take place in Pennsylvania on June 8. While their Referee Seminar is set for the 7th of June 2025. The event will be organized by Druk International Shito-Ryu Karate Do Association, Inc.(DISKA)

As of now, over 200 athletes have registered for the competition. Participants include not only Nepali-speaking athletes but also many from various other nationalities and states, making the event diverse, competitive and highly professional.
Sensei Clave Buster will serve as the chief referee for the championship, while DISKA Soke Ran Rai will take on the role of tournament Director. The competition is being coordinated under the leadership of Bishwa Chhetri, one of the key community leaders among the resettled Bhutanese and beyond.
A special guest of honor at the event will be Shihan Thaneshwar Rai, the founder of the Nepal Karate Federation; said Sensei Raj Baral, the Secretary of Druk International Shito-Ryu Karate Do Association, Inc.(DISKA) who also has been in a significant role of USA Karate National Referee.
The championship will feature the presence of 85 nationally and internationally certified officials, recognized by USANKF, PKF, and WKF to ensure a fair, disciplined, and professionally successful tournament.
Organizers believe that the Open Karate Championship 2025 will be recognized as a landmark sporting event not only in Pennsylvania but among karate enthusiasts throughout the United States.
The Referee Seminar on 7th of June 2025 is being held at DISKA Hombu Dojo located at 2229 Paxton Church Rd. Harrisburg, PA 17110 at 9AM where Sensei Dr. Hemant Ghising is the Instructor and the Open Championship at Zembo Shrine Auditorium located at 2801 N 3rd St., Harrisburg, PA 17110
