New American Chamber of Commerce Launched Following Landmark 2025 Networking Series

Central Pennsylvania — The New American business community marked a historic milestone with the successful conclusion of its final networking event of 2025, attended by more than 100 business owners, professionals, and community leaders. This event capped a series of four networking programs launched on May 5, 2025, and formally announced the establishment of the New American Chamber of Commerce, set to begin official operations in January 2026.

The final event highlighted the collective progress made throughout the year and set a clear vision for the future. LB Subba, the keynote speaker, underscored the critical role of a Chamber of Commerce in advocating for businesses, strengthening economic foundations, and unifying community voices. Kris Ghimire spoke on pathways to leadership, emphasizing that strong leadership is essential for sustainable community and business growth. Binita Rai, alongside a newly elected Swatara Township Commissioner, discussed how local government supports business development, while Realtor Devika Baral addressed women’s empowerment and the growing influence of women in business.

The program was attended by elected officials and regional leaders, including Commissioner Fred Faylona of Susquehanna County, Commissioner Shane Steele (Vice President, Swatara Township), Commissioner Thomas Connolly, and numerous leaders from the Bhutanese and broader New American communities across Central Pennsylvania.

Businesses from a wide range of industries participated, including retail, real estate, mortgage and finance, home care, healthcare clinics, construction and handyman services, auto repair, event venues, photography, and event décor. Attendees expressed strong appreciation for the platform, citing meaningful connections, collaboration opportunities, and a growing sense of unity.

With the official announcement of the New American Chamber of Commerce, organizers outlined a new chapter for the community. The Chamber will focus on business advocacy, structured networking, education and training, leadership development, business promotion, support for minority- and women-owned businesses, and collaboration with local governments and partner organizations. Its mission is to create a unified voice, strengthen economic opportunities, and foster long-term, inclusive growth.

As the Chamber prepares to launch in 2026, it represents a lasting investment in the strength, representation, and sustainability of New American and small business communities throughout Central Pennsylvania.
